Welcome to the Mac@AOL Blog. My name is Lee Givens and I'm the Product Lead for the Mac and iPhone products at AOL. You can find the latest information on AOL's software development on the Mac and any cool happenings at AOL. The purpose of the blog is to create a feedback loop so we can hear from our loyal AOL Mac users. Managing a blog is a lot of work, so I enlisted support from the whole team...the Mac team is made up of dedicated Macintosh developers, QA engineers and Product folks.

1. Stop playing with social features until the features that have been missing from Mac's AIM for years have been implemented!

2. I like the new features. I've been enjoy the changes to AIM on mac for a while and have been using it instead of iChat for over a year. Please keep it up.

3. The new features are nice, and they're definitely adding value to keeping AOL accounts around.
But, I have to agree with Charles. We need a full featured AIM client. I understand you guys worked from scratch, and are building a new codebase, but personally speaking, I use my AIM screenname to communicate with many, many people. It would be IMMENSELY helpful to have a 'classic style' AIM client that gave me all the features I'm accustomed to using.
