We want to thank the thousands of AOL customers who have downloaded AIM for Mac 1.5! We are working very closely with our various teams to ensure that authentication/connectivity issues are being fixed. If you're having an issue with logging in, please download and try AIM for Mac 2.0 (Beta 2) to see if it fixes any of your connectivity issues. (You can rename your 1.5 version and AIM for Mac 2.0 (Beta 2) will co-exist nicely with the shipping version). Also, please leave a comment below if you're having connection issues and would like to help us dive deeper into your specific issue.
We're working as fast as we can to address user feedback and get any bugs or issues resolved in our Beta process. Please keep the comments and suggestions coming.

AOL Mac/iPhone Product Lead
Welcome to the Mac@AOL Blog. My name is Lee Givens and I'm the Product Lead for the Mac and iPhone products at AOL. You can find the latest information on AOL's software development on the Mac and any cool happenings at AOL. The purpose of the blog is to create a feedback loop so we can hear from our loyal AOL Mac users. Managing a blog is a lot of work, so I enlisted support from the whole team...the Mac team is made up of dedicated Macintosh developers, QA engineers and Product folks.

1. Just a few lines about Icq... People have been waiting for a new Mac client for a lot of time... I know that it's possible to log in to Icq using Aim for Mac but most of the people don't know about that... Please, have a look to the Icq forum: http://www.icq.com/forums/index.php?act=view_forum&group_id=397 , as you can easily see your users need to know about any further developement of Icq for Mac.

2. Away messages don't stick in the new version, they disappear after two or three minutes. Also, my status randomly changes from "away" to "available" when idle.

3. Why have my images in e mails stopped appearing. I just get question marks. Are you still addressing this issue?

6. But, why don't do a ICQ version? The AIM have not the same things as ICQ. So, why don't blend icq and aim, kind of AIMCQ? ¬¬' bulls****

7. ICQ IS NOT AIM! ICQ MUST HAVE A NEW VERSION FOR MAC! That's all! It's beacause of it that AOL is a joke in the world. I would like ICQ turn back for Mirabilis, maybe they could WORK.

8. Does ANYONE know how to format AIM screen names these days? I have to go use a PC to do it, and even then it only sticks for like two or three days before reverting to its old state. Any help would be really appreciated.
