Attention Safari 4 users!
We have identified an issue for users who have upgraded to Apple's Safari 4.0 browser, which shares the web component with AOL Desktop for Mac. Safari 4 users have reported that images embedded in mail messages are not displaying (see image below), even if you have the preference selected.

Welcome to the Mac@AOL Blog. My name is Lee Givens and I'm the Product Lead for the Mac and iPhone products at AOL. You can find the latest information on AOL's software development on the Mac and any cool happenings at AOL. The purpose of the blog is to create a feedback loop so we can hear from our loyal AOL Mac users. Managing a blog is a lot of work, so I enlisted support from the whole team...the Mac team is made up of dedicated Macintosh developers, QA engineers and Product folks.

63. How do I stop your endless messages reminding me about your continued inability to develop and write code for the Macintosh user community. I get it that for some reason you're not an Apple developer and didn't see the Safari 4.1 beta, or that your "crew" wasn't competent enough to engineer a way to work with it. Can you make it stop?
I don't even use Safari but every time I click on the AOL window to see my mail, I find that AOL has "lost" it's connection on a Mac that hasn't lost it's connection and I see countless reminders why your "coding team" is the laughingstock of the coder community.

64. Wait...this gets better...AOL never asks for your password and yet to post comments here it does and better yet...it send a confirmation email with a clickable link to confirm.
This is AOL, there are no clickable links, remember?
The whole online community has been using HTML in e-mails for about 10 years and here chugs along AOL...still wondering if it's just a passing fad and should they adopt it.

68. Is this also true with Iphones? I have been having issues with certain senders and ability to read messages from them saying that there was something off about the mail client.

80. I'm not having the problem, but a much more insidious problem is that the waring keeps popping up many times a day. I've read it, I don't need it, make it go away.
I don't need to be saved from myself, and you don't need to warn me a dozen times a day about a problem I don't have.
