We're very happy with the reception we're getting with AIM for Mac beta. We appreciate the support. Now, it's AOL Desktop's turn. You can now get your hands on the next Beta for AOL Desktop for Mac 1.5. We're focusing on improving the mail experience by optimizing the downloading of the various components of mail. We're hoping to relieve the message content loading delays some users are finding on PowerPC Macs.
Here's a list of the fixed issues for Beta 4:
Welcome to the Mac@AOL Blog. My name is Lee Givens and I'm the Product Lead for the Mac and iPhone products at AOL. You can find the latest information on AOL's software development on the Mac and any cool happenings at AOL. The purpose of the blog is to create a feedback loop so we can hear from our loyal AOL Mac users. Managing a blog is a lot of work, so I enlisted support from the whole team...the Mac team is made up of dedicated Macintosh developers, QA engineers and Product folks.

1. Hi Lee,
I'm Heidi writing from WaterField Designs in San Francisco. Sorry to trouble you, but I can't find an email contact address for the editors (ie you?) anywhere on the site. Any chance you could help?
Thanks,
Heidi

2. "Improved mail performance by optimizing the downloading of message header, body and attachments"
NOT, this worked in Beta 3 but it doesn't perform in Beta 4. All you get for a reply is a totally blank page.
"Users can now save mail as plain text files"
Nope. The Save button is grayed out still.
This is as close as I've ever come in 10 years to switching to gmail or yahoo. PLEASE fix these major issues quickly!!
Thank you.
