The AOL Mac Team is delighted to present AOL Desktop for Mac 1.5 beta 3. You can download the new beta at AOL Beta Central. As for all of our betas, please make sure you do not use it for any mission critical purposes. It's just a test version on our way to a final candidate version.

1. I have never in my life had anything so awful as aol desktop. If I didn't need it for my 83 yo mother I would trash my whole computer and start over. I have had one email going to a friend every time I sign on for weeks now. I downloaded new version and now not only does the old email go but it has added TWO new ones! I can't load sent mail to see to whom IT is going AND I can no longer use Safari to check email and circumvent this mail going out!
How do I get all of aol off my computer. Every single last bit of it? I will go to any other I can find.

2. The new version won't even download to my Mac. Have tried twice. After about 15 minutes of the "getting ready to download" progress bar, I quit out of the download. Am using Mac Mail, and once in a blue moon the old original AOL for Mac.
