A quick note from our AIM for iPhone team...
If you're experiencing issues with connecting to the AIM network, just try the following:
1. Go to the Home screen on your iPhone
2. Click Settings and go to the AIM settings (below Photos-All 3rd party apps have settings under the standard iPhone settings)
3. Delete your Screen Name and Password
4. Go back to your Home screen and launch AIM
5. Re-enter your Screen Name and Password
This should take care of most connectivity issues. We will be posting an update in the near future.
Thanks...

Managing a blog is a lot of work, so I enlisted support from the whole team...the Mac team is made up of dedicated Macintosh developers, QA engineers and Product folks.

1. I tried this fix but nada... it seems to happen more over wifi than over edge. Hubby & I don't get service at home so we make big use of wifi for our iphones when we're at home. We both get the "You must have a network connection to access the AIM network" when we're in a place with an open wifi (home, coffee shop, laundromat, etc) I installed the 2.1 update today & same error.

2. Lee,
Will you be adding the ability to associate an iPhone Contact with the Buddy name, so that the First and Last name from the iPhone Contact record is displayed instead of the Buddy handle. Similar to how iChat works on Mac OS X.
Thanks, great app!
